What Black Friday headphone deals to expect in 2020

Black Friday is still a few months away but it’s never too early to start speculating — even if these deals aren’t close to being live yet. Apple AirPods saw big discounts during Labor Day this year so we expect the AirPods Pro and their predecessors to see at least $20-$50 off. Similar to the AirPods Pro, the Powerbeats Pro will also be seeing big discounts — close to $50 off. Other Beats products like the Solo 3, Studio 3, and Solo Pro will probably be the most heavily discounted products during Black Friday, boasting sales amounting to $150 off. Competitor brands like Samsung, Sony, and Bang & Olufsen will also see discounts on both their wired and wireless earphones and headphones. A new contender we hope to see on sale are the Microsoft Surface EarBuds. Many new headphones will see quick flash sales on tech giants like Amazon so keep an eye out for the Surface Buds or Google Pixel Buds 2 going on sale. Black Friday headphone deals we saw last year

During 2019 the biggest sales were seen on the Beats Solo 3 Wireless and the Beats Studio 3 Wireless, both seeing $150 off their original prices. The Beats Powerbeats Pro also saw a $50 discount, bringing their price down to only $200 — the lowest price we’ve ever seen them. Since the AirPods Pro were still a relatively new product last year we only saw a $15 discount so be prepared to snag this product at an even better sale price this year. The Samsung Galaxy Buds were also newer to the mix and saw $15 off as well, but since we’re already seeing these earbuds discounted for $20 right now, you can expect these earphones to drop further in price come Black Friday. Other notable headphones that saw big discounts included the Sony WH-1000XM3 and the Jabra Elite 65t both seeing $70 off. A couple of Bose offerings like the Bose QuietComfort 35 was discounted to $200 — $150 off of its original price of $350.

Should you buy new headphones on Prime Day or Black Friday?

Prime Day and Black Friday are stacked really close to each other this year. After being bumped from its usual summer spot, Prime Day is now scheduled to take place in October. If you are a Prime member, our advice is to get your shopping done on Prime Day this year. This is because there’s a ton of pent up demand since the summer and if you wait till Black Friday or even Cyber Monday, there’s a good chance that you’ll be competing with even more bargain hunters and your chosen product will run out of stock more quickly. Since the two events are also only a month apart, certain headphones that sell out on Prime Day might not even see a significant restock in time for Black Friday season. There’s also a high probability of shipping delays during Black Friday as big tech retail giants may be overwhelmed by the heavy demand. Prices also shouldn’t be significantly different between the two events so don’t let that hold you back from shopping for the best headphones early.
